Statement of Solidarity in the Struggle for Justice

Malcolm X Grassroots
Video Collision course
September 30, 2009

Grassroots organizations, anti-imperialists, and media activists in the United States hail today’s decision of the EU Court of Justice [the European Court of First Instance (ECFI)] removing Jose Maria Sison from the terrorist blacklist of the EU, after many years of struggle for justice.

Jose Maria Sison is a cherished leader, not only among progressive and revolutionary people in the Philippines, but among people throughout the world, who highly value his staunch advocacy of people’s struggles for justice and liberation against repressive and neo-colonial regimes and the world system of imperialism. It is this advocacy for which he has been unjustly hounded and pursued, as unjust systems in the Philippines and worldwide have sought to suppress their opponents who advocate for a better world without imperialism.

But this struggle for justice is far from over. We urge people in the US to join people throughout the world to demand an end to the terrorist listing by the United States State Department.

Hail the Victory Wrested from the EU Court of Justice!

Long Live International Solidarity in the Struggle for Justice!

Condemn all Attempts to Suppress the People’s Struggles!
