Message to Filipino and Japanese Comrades and Friends

Dear Comrades and Friends,
As the founding chairman of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), I am elated and grateful that you are celebrating the 50th founding anniversary of the CPP which has successfully led the Filipino proletariat and people in waging revolutionary struggle for national and social liberation against US imperialism and the local exploiting classes of big compradors, landlords and bureaucrat capitalists.
I wish to convey warmest greetings of comradeship and revolutionary solidarity to all of you. I appreciate that you, the overseas Filipino workers and Japanese and other foreign comrades, come from several organizations and different parts of Japan and that you are conducting the celebration for two days, with the first day devoted to discussions on the achievements of the CPP since its founding and the second day to cultural activities (exhibits, film showing, singing and other cultural performances) to highlight the solidarity of the Filipino and Japanese peoples.
I assume that you will be discussing the achievements of the CPP in the ideological, political and organizational fields. May I therefore propose that you use as reference materials my article “The Great Achievements of the CPP in Waging the Philippine Revolution for 50 Years” and other pertinent articles that you can get from the Philippine Revolution Web Central https://www.philippinerevolution.infohttps://www.philippinerevolution.info.
I also propose to contribute to your cultural celebration my poem “The Long Struggle for Freedom” and the musical rendition of “The Guerrilla Is like a Poet”. You may also contact Kino Arts https://www.facebook.com/KINO-ARTS-865273250154871/ to get permission to screen in Japan the full length feature film The Guerrilla Is a Poet during and after your camping in order to promote solidarity and raise resources for the Filipino people’s struggle for national and social liberation.
I wish you the utmost success in celebrating the CPP golden anniversary. May your celebration inspire more resolute and militant efforts to strengthen your organizations and movements and strengthen the spirit of proletarian internationalism and anti-imperialist and revolutionary solidarity of the Filipino and Japanese peoples!
