Dear All,
For your info, I had an interesting and successful radio interview with
veteran Filipino radio broadcaster Sonny Laragan of Pinoy Radio London
for two hours and 15 minutes last Sunday, 8 November 2009. The
range of questions included those listed by Sonny below. A number
of my songs were also played as breakers after annotating them briefly.
The interview shall be broadcast again on Sunday, 15 November, starting
at 2 p.m. Netherlands time. Please check the equivalent of this in your
time zone. I would appreciate it if you could alert others by forwarding
this notice to them.
Pinoy Radio London reaches the four corners of the world and receives
questions and feedbacks from listeners on a global scale. During the
interview, I answered questions from compatriots in various countries.
Thank you for your attention.
Joma
Hello Ka Joma
Here are some of the questions we've got...
Ninoy Aquino once said that while he was imprisoned he nearly gave up
saying he was only human? Did you ever reach that point when you almost
gave up during your imprisonment?
Have you had near-death experiences?
What are your thoughts on the current crop of presidential aspirants?
Have you had the chance to see Mr Marcos face to face?
How did you become a communist?
When did you start writing poems?
Who were your musical influences? Were you a fan of the Beatles?
Do you play any musical instrument?
How was Joma Sison as a young student?
Did you have a first love? When and who was this?
Are you the brother of Ramon Sison, who appeared in MY FAVORITE YEAR as
an ex Filipino boxer named "Rookie Carroca" in 1982? He also appeared as
"Ferdy Marcos" in a song and dance skit in March 1986 at the Tonight
Show with Johnny Carson, singing with someone dressed as Haiti's Baby
Doc Duvalier. Both dictators had just been ousted from office.
Did your brother have an influence on you musically?
When was the last time youâve talked to your family?
Are there any relatives of yours who are in government service?
What was your familyâs reactiion when you became a communist?
What is your reaction to the charge that while your cadres offer their
lives in Philippine jungles, you are just enjoying his life in Europe
and even was seen dancing with Ara Mina in one clip?
Do you really think it is realistic to expect your ideology to prevail
as the system of governance in the Philippines?
What countries have you traveled to so far? Is there any country you
wish to see?
Among our national heroes, who do you admire most?
Do you have Chinese blood?
Have you got a favorite pastime? What you do in your spare time?
You had picture taken with Ara Mina dancing...do you love to dance?
Is there a favorite program you watch on TV?
Have you got a favorite movie? Song?
Have you heard of Manny Pacquiao? Have you ever seen any of his fights?
Senator Salonga is still blaming you for the bombing of Plaza Miranda,
what can you say about it?
